'Japanese Travels'
black and white photographs by
Leopold Oosterlynck
"I had the great privilege to be invited by the "Euro-Japan Art Exchange Organization" just a year ago.
Travelling to the three retrospective exhibitions in Tokyo, Nagasaki and Kobe I had the pleasure of tasting the tranquility and the Majesty of the Zen and Shinto temples of which I here present eleven black and white images.
There is nothing spectacular in my photos. They convey the peace, the silence, sometimes the joy of ancient secular engravings in today's nature."
